Cisco Network Administrator/Engineer
Immediate Contract to hire role in Temecula
Hourly rate depends on experience ? up to $50 per hour on our
W-2
Salary will be negotiated after 90 days of employment
The primary responsibility of the Network Administrator is to
provide the technical expertise needed to support day-to-day
operations of a large diverse network in a 24/7 environment. This
includes leading efforts maintain, and audit our rapidly growing
and changing network topology that must meet the needs of a
challenging set of development, operational, and business
requirements with an operational pace running 24 hours a day. As
the Network Administrator, you are expected to demonstrate
innovative approaches to solving unique challenges encountered at a
dynamic company along with safely guarding our networks. The ideal
candidate has a very strong understanding of core networking
concepts, technology, and experience instrumenting, and monitoring
network devices along with knowledge of automating network
configuration management.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
? CCNA certification
? Must be able to pass a background check
? Must be able to obtain a Class ?A? gaming license
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
? Proficient in network and server operating systems (Cisco,
Microsoft, IBM, Linux, Apple)
? Proficient in networking technologies and protocols (EIGRP, IGRP,
TCP/IP, Bonjour, OTV, DNS, WINS, ARP, UDP, HTTP/S)
Proficient in NAS technologies (CIFS, NFS, SMB)
Knowledge of voice technologies (VoIP, SIP)
Knowledge in wireless communication technologies (RF, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth)
Knowledge in network security technologies (dot1 X, RADIUS,
VPN)
Maintain accurate and concise documentation of network systems,
operational procedures, network topology and associated hardware
and software inventory.
? Provide networking expertise to IT Systems Team and property
? Research, recommend, develop, and implement innovative methods,
new technologies to meet and exceed business goals using best
practices
? Establish procedures and policies to eliminate downtime, data
loss, data corruption, system degradation
? Proactively monitor and audit the health and availability of the
network
? Participate in scalability and growth decisions
? Daily administration of all network systems including upgrades,
patches, configuration and tuning
? Recommend and use best practices to protect against new and
existing security threats
? Responsible for backup integrity and disaster recovery planning,
implementation and testing of our network infrastructure
? Coordinate and work with application developers and vendors to
identify and enhance network efficiency and resolve network issues
related to existing and new system(s) implementation.
? Support for Help Desk personnel by providing troubleshooting for
network related end user issues
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: The ideal candidate will have at a
minimum an Associate?s degree (AS) in computers or networking and
at least 3 years? experience from an accredited college in a large
24/7 environment. A Bachelor?s degree (BS) in computers or
networking with minimum 2 years? experience is preferred from an
accredited university. In lieu of degree, the candidate should have
a minimum of 5 years of experience with a CCNA certification.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the network
administrator to understand, read, write, and speak English
fluently. In addition, you must be able We are an equal employment
