Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Oncology RN in San Diego, California, 92123 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty:
Hematology/Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour
(19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum
2 years of pediatric hematology oncology experience with central
line management experience preferred License: CA RN license
required Certifications: APHON, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Strong
inpatient Hematology/Oncology background; EPIC experience highly
preferred but not required with strong background Job Description:
- Work in a 38-bed Hematology Inpatient unit handling cases such as
BMT/Blood Cell transplantation, neuroblastoma, anemia, leukemia,
lymphoma, solid tumor, hemophilia, ITP, sickle cell anemia, and
other hemoglobinopathies. - Perform IV therapy, sedation
procedures, post-operation care, central lines, Hickman's, porta
caths, and administer blood products and chemotherapeutic agents. -
Requires working 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period, primarily on
Friday and Saturday for night shifts. - Travelers must be available
to work during holidays. - Flexibility to float within the hospital
and to NICU satellite locations as needed. - Complete all required
modules before start; estimated time to complete modules is 6-8
hours. - Orientation comprises 12 hours and must be completed as
part of the onboarding process. Additional Notes: - Mileage
reimbursement provided for NICU and HomeCare positions when driving
to locations other than the home base facility. - Comply with
vaccine requirements; flu vaccine is required with no exemptions. -
Includes a compliance deadline set for Wednesday prior to the start
